In 2038, a police state, intriguing politicians, religious sects, revolutionaries and a secret scientific project are united to produce an explosive mix in neo-Tokyo. All competing groups are looking at the prize: control over akira, a guy with mental abilities, so destructive that he was in a cryo-star of more than 30 years.
