    The story unfolds in the distant future. The land is destroyed, and humanity establishes the plantation of a mobile strong city. Pilots produced on plantations live in Mistilteinn, also known as "bird cells". Children live there, nothing know about the outdoor world, or about the freedom of the sky. Their life consists of a struggle for the implementation of missions. Their enemies-mysterious giant forms of life, known as Kyouryuu, and children pilot robots named Franxx to resist them. For children, Riding on Franxx proves its existence. The boy named Hiro is called the code: 016, and once he was known as the Wunderkind. However, he remained behind, and its existence seems unnecessary. Do not pilot franxx is the same thing that stop existing. One day a mysterious girl appears in front of him, known as "zero two". Two horns stick out of his head.
