The story follows Hakone, the spirit of hot springs, which descended to the resort on Earth. Nevertheless, with his long bed she looks like a girl outside. ("Yōsei" in the title is a pun with Japanese words for fairies and a small boy.) A high school student Tōya meets it in a hot source and finishes what joins Hakone to restore its original forces.
