    Being his first series that the wonderful world remains the most representative and successful work of Asano to date. Consisting of vignettes from the daily life of a group of people inhabiting a common area somewhere in Tokyo, a series is actually a comment about the most modern life and how we can survive in it, despite all its severity. Funny, melancholic, funny, strange, forcing me to think: Asano easily switches from one mood to another, creating stories and characters that are deeply humane and, therefore, always envelop. It is a pity that not everyone finds the same attractive themes described by the author, since some of them are clearly Japanese. But in general, this is an excellent collection that any demanding manga reader must check.
