Kuraki Fuzuchi-calm young man who has huge mental abilities and sword skills. Later he meets Takeo Nanachi, a college student with similar hidden abilities. The story begins with the fact that Nachachi goes into a small sanctuary in the mountains at the festival, which occurs only every 49 years to clean the sword of his (now the late) grandfather. There he meets cooks, and then accidentally stumbles on the ritual of dedication to Kuraki as a shaman. From there their life is inexplicably intertwined when they face various ghosts, spirits, demons and other characters with supernatural abilities, while the author also provides a parallel history describing their previous life.
