Ichiyo and Akehiko (both 15 years old) were brought up in a friendly atmosphere in a prosperous Japanese restaurant. They live in a safe and happy life, but, as it was the norm in feudal Japan, they train in local dojes with determination to become strong. The times are violent, and violence invades Japan's streets of the XIX century. In such conditions, children will have to know what it means to own a sword, take away the life from someone and understand the unstable life of life with a sword. The story seems to be closer to the end of the Edo period.
